>2011 Goals, How’s it going?

>It’s August. How many of you set goals for 2011? How are you doing on those goals? Did the New Year’s Resolutions fade from your mind by February? I find that this is a great time to take a look at what I wanted to accomplish this year and how am I doing? There is so much great energy for starting new things in September. Kids are back to school and adults seem to be on the same energetic schedule. So I invite you to take a look at where you are right now and where do you want to be by December.

Take a look at these questions and get moving on those goals for 2011. You still have lots of time left to reach them.

What is my vision? Paint a picture.
What kind of person do I want to be?
What do I want to do, have, think, feel, and look like? Clarify until it’s reasonably succinct.
Without being modest, what do I value most about myself?
What have been my best experiences to date with the key elements of my vision, times when I felt alive and fully engaged? Recall one or two stories, in detail.
values does my coaching career vision represent and support?
How large is the gap between where I am today (Point A) and where I want to be (Point B)?
What makes this vision really important to me?
Why do I really want to reach this vision?
On a scale of 0-10, with 10 being totally confident and 0 being no confidence, how confident am I that I can close this gap and realize my vision?
What strengths can I draw on to help me close this gap and realize my vision?
What challenges do I anticipate having to deal with on the way to reaching my vision?
Which challenge concerns me most?
