Exercise makes your skin healthier

Turns out that regular exercise can make your skin healthier, particularly as you age. Preliminary research by scientists at Ontario’s McMaster University show that exercise not only keeps skin looking younger, but also enhances skin health at a microscopic level.

One study found that people over 40 who exercised frequently had skin comparable to that of people half their age.  In another, participants age 65 and older were put on a 3 month program having them jog or bicycle twice weekly at a moderately strenuous pace. Before and after biopsies showed that the condition of their skin improved over the course of the program. (experiencelife.com/October 2014)

Remember, our skin is our largest organ and reflects what is happening inside our bodies. Digestion is also key to your health. Compromised digestion might show up as acne along the chin line. When digestion is off, your skin, hair and nails will lack luster and shine.

Focus on optimizing digestion to improve your skin and health. When living in stress, you need a restorative process. Deep, diaphragm breathing is one of the best ways you can tell your body you are safe.
