These were a snack at my recent nutrition training at Sanoviv. I loved them so much, I’ve already made them at home. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Cocoa Bars

3 gala apples

2 cups dried, unsweetened coconut

10 figs, soaked at least 30 minutes (use black mission dried figs)

1/4 cup raw cocoa powder

pinch of salt

Chop apples and process in food processor until mush. Add figs and process to smooth puree. Add cocoa and coconut and process until smooth and mixed well. If it’s too thick, use water that the figs were soaked in. Pour and spread onto dehydrator tray. It should be thick and sticky. Dehydrate 118 degrees for 8 hours. It’s done when it’s sort of crispy. Enjoy!
