It’s anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory: Golden Milk

I just returned from Sanoviv and wanted to share this amazing recipe with you. I know you’ll love it. Golden Milk is an Ayurvedic healing tea with the main ingredient is turmeric. You may know turmeric from such foods as curries. It’s has many healing properties with its active ingredient curcumin. It’s an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. It has been shown to help cancers, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, Crohn’s disease, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and arthritis. You only need to drink a small amount. We were served this daily around 10am and it was such a treat. Hope you enjoy it.

1/4 cup water

1/8 teaspoon turmeric

1 cup almond or other nut milk

1-2 tablespoons almond oil (optional)

Pinch of cardamom and cinnamon

Raw honey to taste

Boil water and turmeric over medium heat for 8 minutes.

In another pan, boil nut milk and remove from heat. Add almond oil, cardamom and honey. Combine with the water. Optionally, you can put it in a blender and blend until frothy and serve with a pinch of cinnamon. Enjoy!
