Ready for the New Year? Start on the Right Foot

I don’t know about you but 2017 felt like a really rough year, both physically and emotionally.  I’m looking forward to setting out on the right foot in this new year. That’s why I’m going to start with a very simple, short, detox for the next 11 days. I’ve cleaned out the pantry and gotten rid of all the holiday treats so there is NO temptation around me. I’ve got broccoli soup and chicken soup made for the week as well as loads of veggies ready for cooking in the fridge. It’s chilly and rainy in my neighborhood so warm soup is the perfect food at this time. Here is a link to my Facebook group that will give you support over the next 11 days, if you’d like to join in the fun. https://www.facebook.com/groups/532899080382608/

What are You Planning for this Year?

I also find it a great time to look at what I want to do in my business and personal life this year. I like to write out a few simple goals and action items to reach those goals. I’ve also make holiday plans for this spring and summer. That gives me something really exciting and fun to look forward to. Take time over the next several days to make some plans and set your intentions for the coming year. I bet you’ll be surprised at the end of the year how many of those plans actually came to fruition. I know I am always amazed.

What are You Grateful For or Appreciate from 2017?

On the kitchen table, we have a basket with small slips of paper and a pen. During the year, when something fun, good, or special happens we take the time to write it on the piece of paper and put it in the basket. At the end of the year, we pull out the papers and read them aloud while writing them on a large paper that reads 2017 APPRECIATION at the top. Once we’ve added everything we can think of to love and appreciate. We hang the paper in the hallway so we can look at it all year long.[tweetthis] I find that taking the time to acknowledge the year and appreciate all the little things allows the new year to bring you more good stuff.[/tweetthis] Our list includes things like our healthy animal friends, chocolate cake, vacations and sleeping late on Sundays. There is so much to appreciate on a daily basis. Give it a try. I think you’ll enjoy it.

I hope this year brings you an abundance of love and adventure.
