>I’ve been thinking and talking a lot lately about happiness. I just finished The Happiness Advantage by Shawn Achor. Great book. Filled with so much scientific research about the brain that I was to read the whole thing over again just to absorb it all.

When I coach people through the 5 day Carb Cleanse, I talk to them about day 3 and the challenges that might come up. By day 3, serotonin is coming into balance and they often feel a bit depressed or angry as a result. Remember carbs and sugars boost serotonin in the short-term. So I talk to them about what they can do to naturally boost their serotonin levels.
