Does your supplement have iodine in it?

Many prescription prenatals don't have iodine in them. Iodine is needed for brain
and nervous system development. USANA's supplements also only have beta carotene
rather than Vit A. It's got the same amount as a carrot. So that means it's really
safe.

Start taking prenatal supplements 3 months before intending to get pregnant.
Remember to continue taking your prenatals through breast feeding. I also suggest
adding vitamin D and Fish Oil.

Most common pregnancy related diseases can be avoided with supplementation.

Pediatrics:
Newly trained doctors do not get supplement training unless they seek it out. So
don't expect your doctor to have all the answers on what and how to supplement your
child. A good resource I like is Dr. Christine Wood:

Kids need Omega 3 fats. The best source is in fish, but now there are more toxins in
fish. IQ studies show cod liver oil better than corn oil. Taking a oemga 3
supplements has show to improve sleep and decrease Asthma.

Vit D is a big one that many of us are lacking. In US 7 out of 10 not getting enough
vitamin D. The optimal levels to look for in your blood work is between 50 and 80.
Low vitamin D has been found to be associated with food allergies. Every pregnant
woman should be tested for vitamin D levels.
